While I was in LA for the Fourth of July weekend, I packed this leg-exposing maxi dress I received courtesy of Tobi. I wore it while checking out the festival stalls in near Huntington Beach, but I will admit I was not wearing these Manolo Blahnik heels. I was wearing sandals while walking along the pier, but the sandals worked just as well for my boho look.
This dress is floor-length, and I think it is in part because I opted to order a size larger than I normally would have. The straps were adjustable and something to consider when you are ordering this maxi dress. It also comes in blush and blue and is 50% off right now. I’ve worn a maxi dress before, but it has been a long time since I’ve picked up a new one. Having short legs, I tend to go for different hemlines, but there is something about a monochrome look that elongates your legs. It also helps when some leg is showing. I love the off the shoulder detail and how effortlessly cool the dress looks.
I used my new mint plume crossbody for my trip down to LA. I love that this mint Kate Spade clutch can be converted from a crossbody into a clutch. The warm weather in SoCal was really what I needed during this vacation, along with the time off. I am taking a marketing class for the summer to develop my professional skills and will be using a lot of my time to focus on that for the next couple of weeks. It’s refreshing to be back at school, but more because I am learning something different. I am also looking forward to the class ending so I can really enjoy the summer weather.
