Hello!
I am Brandy, the content creator behind Will Bake for Shoes. I graduated from UC Berkeley and worked at the university for over 7 years. I live with my husband, and blog photographer/web designer, Armando Cortes in our Queen Anne Victorian located on the East Bay. I am currently in between roles launching myself into the freelance world.
Since I was a kid, I’ve loved dressing up and really enjoyed watching my mom put together great outfits, mixing high and low-end pieces. I envisioned my life as an adult being dressed as chic as her for work and I started a blog to share not just my outfits, but also to highlight the amazing pieces I have been able to find by thrift store shopping or shopping from resale websites.
My blog’s name “Will Bake for Shoes” originated after I began sharing a lot of my cupcake creations on the blog and at my first office job. The title originated from a cup I labeled “Will Bake for Shoes” that placed next to cupcakes I brought to work as a joke that donations would go towards a pair of new Manolo Blahnik heels.
Life is what you bake it, and this blog focuses on sharing the fun in sustainable fashion, spreading love through dessert and making the most out of travel. There is no shortage of sugar or sprinkles here! I hope you enjoy my stories and I would love for you to contact me if you have any questions!
