The holidays went by so quickly, and before I knew it the new year started.
I’ve gone through so many emotions and experiences these past few weeks and I wonder where do I start?
That’s definitely been the question and feeling with wedding planning. With less than 6 months to go, and a ton of stuff still on my to-do list, I am beginning to understand and feel the stress that comes with it. Luckily, Armando has really stepped up and has been super helpful with the planning process. It’s felt like we are a team, more often than not, and despite the stress, I am really looking forward to our big day.
So for the new year, I am continuing with wedding planning and sticking as closely to the budget we have set.
I completed another marketing course in December, and am looking forward continuing to invest in myself and education in this subject area.
I watched The Minimalists on Netflix and was really affected by the documentary’s overall message. If you haven’t watched it and feel overwhelmed with the amount of stuff you’ve accumulated, I definitely recommend it. Minimalism is a process, and since November I’ve slowly started parting with things I’ve accumulated that serve no value or purpose to me. Living in a studio apartment, I don’t have a lot of space to work with. Going through a cupboard in the kitchen and getting rid of excess water bottles and unused mugs felt so liberating once I took them to Goodwill. I struggle to let go of things if they have sentimental value, but things don’t replace people or memories. My goal is to stick to this process and be more mindful when I shop.
I am not too worried about getting to my closet since I’ve tried to maintain it by posting things I am no longer wearing on Poshmark. I haven’t been as consistent with it or on the app as often, but I am ready to ramp up how often I post items.
