First item I wear from my Crossroads Trading Co. shopping party purchases: A lovely Diane Von Furstenberg navy blouse. The details are simply stunning to me, and in my mind I already pictured quite a few outfit ideas with it.
I dressed up a designer piece with quite a few low-end items. I wanted to mix navy and black, and I added some gold accents. The bird belt not only fit the color scheme I was going for, but gave the top a more feminine shape. I am really into matching details, and the detail of the beanie goes perfectly with the stitching of the blouse! The boots were also chosen to go with the little leather detail in the belt.
Sometimes I feel like such a square for going the easy-route and going with what obviously matches. My resolution should be to try wearing things that are not too matchy-matchy, but we’ll see how that goes.
