I had so much fun with my Fall Trader Joe’s haul and review and was stoked that the winter holiday items were hitting stores soon. There were products I really wanted to try this time around and most were new to me to taste test!
I am excited to share on top of this post, where I can feature items I spotted but didn’t pick up this trip, I made a Youtube video! I filmed one with my friend Chelsea Pearl where we shared our Trader Joe’s haul and a taste test video so you can see first-hand hand what we thought of some the Trader Joe’s winter holiday products.
Here are some of the items I picked up and tried and whether or not they are worth trying before they are gone for the season and find out what Chelsea is giving away on her blog and how to enter at the end of this post.
Chocolate
Taste Test of Caramels: 🎄🎄🎄🎄
This is a fun hostess or party gift and featured a bunch of delicious caramel chocolates. The flavors I tried were delicious and I love the novelty of cutting up the chocolates and guessing which flavor each on is. Some of the flavors I enjoyed more than others, which is why I docked it 1 Christmas tree.
Boozy Little Chocolate Truffles: 🎄🎄🎄
You must be 21+ to purchase these, and for good reason! These truffles pack a boozy punch as it is infused in the filling of each chocolate. I could see myself picking these up again, but not to eat all my own. It was a fun treat and you would not go wrong putting this in a white elephant gift exchange.
Rabitos Royal – Chocolate Fig Bonbons: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
These chocolate fig bonbons are not exclusive to Trader Joe’s, but that didn’t stop me from picking these up to taste. I’ve been really into figs as of late, and these were delicious. This box came with 9 individually wrapped chocolates. They were well-received when I took them to a meeting after filming our tasting video.
Hot Cocoa O’s: 🎄
I love cereal, but these Hot Cocoa O’s were a little meh. The chocolate could have been stronger, but I will likely not pick up again.
Drinks
Chocolate Peppermint Almond Beverage: 🎄🎄🎄🎄
If you remember from my Fall grocery haul post, I tasted the Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage and I was not the biggest fan, but I am glad I didn’t let that tasting completely prevent me from picking this up. It is refreshing like chocolate milk with a hint of peppermint. I loved it straight out of the carton and would be something I could see myself picking up again.
I loved this creamer so much, I bought it twice in less than 2 weeks! It adds the right amount of peppermint to my coffee and I do like the affordable price of $1.99.
One of the first items Chelsea and I tried in our video, this Winter Wake Up Tea is so good! I loved the spice flavors and liked that it had caffeine.
Peppermint Hot Chocolate Mix: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
When it comes to holiday flavors, I am Team Gingerbread over Team Peppermint, but this cocoa was a delight! I would gladly pick this up again to enjoy on a chilly winter night with my other holiday treats.
Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate: 🎄🎄🎄🎄
I picked this Sipping Chocolate up recently and it is already gone, but I did use it when hosting some family over the weekend. This has a richer chocolate flavor than the Peppermint Hot Chocolate, but I loved the rich texture and would likely get it again.
Snacks
Mini Gingerbread Men: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Small gingerbread cookies with white fudge icing on one side, what is not to love? This one of my favorites amidst the cookies we tried and I picked it up again recently to pair with the Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate for some hosting Armando and I did over the weekend.
Peppermint Pretzel Slims: 🎄🎄🎄
White chocolate with a hint of salt. We taste test these in my video, but overall they were more sweet than salty. These also had an almost fruity aftertaste, which Chelsea and I think might be because of the beet used in the food coloring of the red sprinkle.
Peppermint Bark Popcorn: 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Peppermint bark and popcorn? It’s got to be good. I loved this more than the Pretzel Bark Slims even if the popcorn didn’t stand out too much. This is the best snack to have watching holiday movies and it comes in such a fun bag. It’s resealable, but I don’t think you’ll be able to avoid eating it all.
Trader Joe’s Pistachio Pomegranate Crisps: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Trader Joe’s has these crisps year-round in the form of Fig & Olive and Raisin Rosemary, but the Pistachio Pomegranate Crisps are not to be missed! As I tasted them, they triggered a bit of childhood nostalgia reminded me of the taste of Fruity Pebbles. These have a nice bright flavor, so pair them with a slice of nice goat cheese!
Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe Joe’s: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
If you are a fan of dark chocolate, this is for you. These cookies are thick with its chocolate coating and just the right amount of peppermint. I loved the texture of the candy cane topping and already picked up another box to enjoy before the holiday season ends.
Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I picked up the Jingle Jangle after our tasting, and I can’t believe I missed it initially! It is very chocolatey and features chocolate covered popcorn, Joe-Joe cookies, pretzels, peanut butter cups, and candy. It is pretty rich, but Armando and I really liked it and would definitely get it again.
Beauty
I picked this soap and lotion set primarily because I liked the small caddy and needed some hand soap for an upcoming holiday gathering I would be hosting. The smell is not that strong from the soap, but hands do feel clean and moisturized. I am no sure how I will re-use the caddy after I go through these, but I might not get these again since the scent of pine wasn’t as strong as I would have liked.
Pet
Organic Naughty & Nice Dog Treats: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Strangely accurate Naughty & Nice to describe our dogs, but these bone-shaped treats were well-received by our four-legged friends. These are easy to break apart and a fun treat to give.
Gingerbread Men Dog Treats: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Similar to the Pumpkin Dog Treats I picked up back in the Fall, these treats were pretty big and the dogs liked them. These had a great scent and I will likely pick them up again.
Dog Advent Calendar: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Iris and Bella look forward to this every day! I’ve never purchased an advent calendar for myself, but I just had to pick one of these up as a new dog parent. The treats are different shapes and are made of salmon and sweet potato. They do smell fishy, but the dogs love them!
We didn’t get a chance to try the Egg Nog and a few other things we bought on this shopping trip, but Chelsea and I are in talks of filming another haul to taste-test video. Check them out and let me know if there is a product we should definitely try.
